ACT Prep Camp at Augustana

ACT Prep Camp at Augustana

Augustana is offering an ACT Prep Camp designed to help students achieve their best possible score on the ACT.

Over June 8-11 (Monday-Thursday), students entering grades 10-12 in the 2020-21 school year will receive 24 hours of instruction over four days from accredited teachers in each of the key ACT areas: math, science, English, reading and writing. You must have completed Algebra 2 in order to participate in the camp. Students will learn strategies for mastering every section of the college entrance exams.

There’s also time for fun — camp attendees will get to experience life on a college campus, located in the heart of South Dakota’s largest city. Students will attend classes in the new Froiland Science Complex.

From exploring the campus to the ability to ask questions, the 2018 ACT Camp attendees said the camp met their expectations. They felt more confident about taking the test after attending ACT Camp. For a couple attendees, they were able to increase their ACT scores significantly — which pushed them into a new scholarship category.

About the Camp

College admission officers agree that the ACT score is considered the second most important factor in the college application process. Improving your score can have a major impact on admission to your choice school — and potential scholarship awards. Many students decide their scores are “good enough” without realizing their true potential. Depending on your starting score, more points can help you to get into your dream college, expand your program choices and increase your scholarship opportunities.
