Where can I find Augustana's cost and tuition rates?

Here is a full explanation of our 2021-22 undergraduate tuition and fees.

How much will tuition increase?

Augustana University will not be increasing tuition for the 2021-22 academic year as approved by the Board of Trustees.

Will the tuition and student fee increase apply to all students?

Tuition and fee increases will be applicable to full-time undergraduate and graduate students.

What is the process for increasing tuition?

On an annual basis, Augustana administrators, faculty and student leaders assess tuition and revenue and make recommendations for the next year to the Board of Trustees. Our main goal is to continue to provide our students with an exceptional educational experience and learning environment. Specific to the fee increase, student leaders voiced concerns over the impact limited resources were having on student programs. This resulted in a recommendation to the Board in December to increase tuition and fees for the 2020-21 academic year.

How does this compare to past increases at Augustana?

Augustana is mindful of increases to tuition and student fees and has an average increase of 3.5% over the past four years. Our breakdown of increases includes the following:

•    4.5% increase in tuition in 2020-21
•    1.82% increase in tuition in 2019-20
•    4% increase in tuition in 2018-19
•    3.28% increase in tuition in 2017-18

How will the funds generated by these fees be used?

The technology fee will support technology infrastructure and services and help improve Wi-Fi service, internet support and bandwidth, Help Desk functions, lab systems, audiovisual equipment and learning management system enhancements.
