Incoming first-year student (I am a senior in high school)

Is there an application fee? No, the undergraduate appplication is free at Augustana University.

When can I apply? You can submit your application as soon as you finish your junior year of high school. The Fall 2022 application is now open as of July 30, 2021.

When’s the deadline to apply? The university sends offers of admission starting early October and admits students on a rolling admission basis thereafter.

How soon will I learn if I have been offered admission? Typically within two weeks.

How do I apply for scholarships? Your application for admission is also your application for academic scholarships. Learn more about our scholarships.

Do I need a test score to apply for admission? You have two application options — a traditional option where you will submit a standardized test score or a "test-optional" application where essay responses are submitted instead of a standardized test score.

Common Application

  • Apply for free using the Augustana online application or using the Common Application.
  • Submit results of your ACT (Augustana #3902) or SAT (Augustana #6015) scores
  • High school transcript

Test-optional application

Augustana is proud to evaluate applicants on a holistic basis. Admission decisions are informed by grade point average and academic history, course selection, and leadership and involvement both inside and outside of the classroom. Transfer student (I currently attend another college)

Start your free application today! Transfer students are encouraged to apply at least one semester prior to their desired enrollment date. The university sends the first offers of admission and academic scholarships in October and continues on a rolling basis thereafter. 

Common Application

  • Apply online using the Augustana online application form or using the Common Application.
  • Submit results of your ACT (Augustana #3902) or SAT (Augustana #6015) scores
  • High school transcript
  • College transcript(s) for all prior colleges attended

Returning Students

Students who were enrolled in classes at Augustana in the past are not required to fill out a full application in order to return. Instead, returning students should complete this form. If you have attended another university since departing Augustana, official transcripts from that school(s) should be sent to the Augustana Registrar's Office.
