The Princeton Review Tabs AU Among 'Best in the Midwest'; Salutes Sustainability Efforts

The campus of Augustana University sits on 100 acres in the center of the state's largest city.

The Princeton Review, a nationally known education services company, has again ranked Augustana among the best in the Midwest. The University also made Princeton's list of "Green Colleges" for its overall commitment to sustainability.

Citing survey results from 137,000 students at 382 of the nation's top colleges, The Princeton Review lists Augustana among the 158 premier institutions it recommends in its "Best in the Midwest" category of the website feature, "2018 Best Colleges: Region by Region."

"Each year, we salute ... colleges in five zones — Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West and International (outside of the United States) — that we consider academically outstanding and well worth consideration in your college search."

—The Princeton Review

The rankings are based on feedback from students about their school's academics, administration, student body and themselves.

The 158 colleges The Princeton Review chose for its "Best in the Midwest" list are located in 12 states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The Princeton Review's "Green" ranking is based on feedback from students related to "whether students have a quality of life on campus that is both healthy and sustainable; how well the school prepares students for employment in an increasingly green economy; and how environmentally responsible the school's policies are."
