We are looking forward to the day when we can release information regarding the Augustana University COVID-19 vaccination plan. The vaccination timeline, posted on the South Dakota Department of Health (SD-DOH) website, identifies the population group currently receiving vaccinations. Hopefully, the vaccines will be available to our Augustana community in the near future.
Please report if you have been vaccinated.
Some of you have already had the opportunity to get vaccinated. We ask that you please keep us informed of your status by reporting the dates of your two vaccination doses on your my.augie.edu portal. By letting us know you have been vaccinated, we will be better able to monitor our campus population and evaluate the COVID-19 protocols we have in place.
In addition, as we prepare to identify the employees and students that are eligible for vaccination in the coming South Dakota vaccination groups, it is essential we are informed of those who have already been vaccinated so we do not include them on our list. Please remember, even if you have been vaccinated you must continue to follow the Augustana University Health and Safety Pledge (student and employee), as well as the mask policy and all Viking Flex protocols.
When will I have the opportunity to get vaccinated?
If you have not had the opportunity to be vaccinated, your time is coming. We are working closely with the SD-DOH on the rollout of the vaccine to determine which groups of our Augustana community (employees and students) will have the opportunity to be vaccinated. There could be a phased rollout for AU, with timing anywhere within the next couple of weeks to the next few months. When you are eligible to schedule your vaccination, you will receive a communication from Augustana along with the necessary instructions to do so.
